Can a Moonpool be connected to a base Subnautica?

How do I get my Moonpool to work?
To unlock the Moonpool Blueprint, the player must scan two of its Fragments. These can be found in Wrecks or the Mushroom Forest. The Seabase that the Moonpool is attached to must have power (except in Creative Mode) in order to dock vehicles. It can, however, release vehicles without power.
Can you rotate Moonpool?
It's been my experience that you cannot rotate the Moonpool the way you can other objects. I tend to place it, dock to see what my orentation is going to be, then move it to a side of the base (possibly even rebuilding part of the base) that allows me to exit properly.

Since the update ( xbox – in line with the steam release), you can only board the Prawn and not interact with the upgrades or repair. It's a bit of a hassle to keep updocking. The seamoth works fine in the Moon pool.

Simply put, water will not enter because the sides of the moon pool extend up inside the ship well above the waterline. Also, the moon pool doors are closed whenever the ship is moving or in rough seas. On rare occasions, the moon pool is fully opened to lower or raise certain drilling tools to and from the seafloor.
